The Block film and art festival kicked off its inaugural year with presentations of independent film, dance, music, and informative symposiums in downtown Logan Friday night.
The two day festival, with its roots from the Logan Film Festival, was featured in a group of downtown locations. The main venues for this event included the Utah and Dansante Theatres, the Waffle Iron, the Factory Pizzeria, StarrSteppers dance studio and a large staging area located near Center Street and 100 West.
The two day event will continue on Saturday with events held from 10 a.m. to midnight. These events will coincide with the inaugural Logan Pride Fest, which will also be held downtown starting at 11 a.m.
An interfaith service will precede the Logan Pride Fest at 9 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church located on the corner of Center Street and 200 West.
